Medical carbon dioxide (CO2): used in liquid phase

  • Characteristics : A medical form of the gas is used, which has three essential physical properties:
    • - PURITY : 99.99% pure (the same gas is used for laparoscopies in hospitals)

      - DRYNESS : cold-induced pain is caused essentially by humidity. Dry cold is much easier to tolerate than wet cold. There is no humidity involved in the process of spraying the CO2-generated gas, which is cold and dry, making the treatment particularly painless and stress-free for the patient.

      - BACTERIOSTATIC : another essential characteristic of the gas is that it is bacteriostatic and fungistatic. Open wounds and recent scar tissue can be treated without risk for the patient. The application process is free of associated infection risks.

  • Cylinders (from 7 to 50 kg, depending on the model in use): These are fitted with a dipper tube, which enables the collection of the gas in its liquid stage and maintains a constant temperature of -78°C.

  • Cryo One cartridges : 160 g of liquid CO2. Each cartridge allows a treatment of approximately one minute. Recharging facilities are currently available in mainland France.
